Repetition
In this photo repetition occurs by focusing on the repeating lights. The subject also repeats by the lights getting smaller and smaller the farther it goes.
Rule of Thirds
In this photo I used rule of thirds because I put the main subject (Adrian) on the third. For this photo I also wanted an interesting background. I like it because it has white, grey and black in the back.
Leading Lines
In this photo I used leading lines by using the railing for the stairs to lead to the main subject (Adrian). I took this photo in portrait mode because it was a better angle for getting closer to the railing.
Framing
In this photo I used framing by using the trees as a frame to the main subject (Soren & Josiah). I also like how I used the levels tool to get an even amount of black, grey and white in the photo.
Contrast
In this photo I used contrast by using blurry and focused. In the front and back the leaves are unfocused and in the middle the leaves are focused. I took this photo in landscape mode because I wanted a wide shot to get the three different levels of focus.
Final Thoughts
Overall I learned how to use Emphasis Techniques in Graphic Arts. Such as contrast, leading lines and framing. I really enjoyed being able to adjust the things in my photos that I didn't like in Adobe Photoshop.
