Project 6 Magazine Cover

My magazine is made for tourists who do not know a lot about British Columbia. People will buy this magazine if they want to find out more about Vancouver and what the best spots for tourists are. I chose green for my color scheme because it relates to nature, and nature relates to exploring. I chose this text alignment because in my paragraph it is spread out very nicely. As a graphic artist the thing I learned was to use a clipping mask and I enjoyed going to Fort Langley to take the photo for my magazine cover.

Project 5 Natural Portrait

Angle Shot (Birds Eye)

In the photo above I am on top of the train while the model is down below on the ground. I chose this angle to show a birds eye view. The emphasis technique that is executed in this photo is rule of thirds because the main subject (the model)  is in the third.

Casually Seated

In the photo above I am crouched to get the framing in the shot. In this photo I am showing framing because of the poles around the subject (Jackson). I also put the model on the rule of thirds.

Standing Tall

In the photo above I am also crouched to make the the model seem taller and made him stand in front of the tree to give him more contrast. I also put the model and the rule of thirds.

Wall Chill

In the photo above I put the model on the rule of thirds. I also put him on the orange wall to give him more contrast and more focus.

Final Thoughts

The photo above is my favorite photo because I used two emphasis techniques. I used the rule of thirds and I also used framing. Some of my triumphs were completing all my photos in Fort Langley.
Some of my frustrations was the rain and keeping the camera dry while getting our photos completed. As a photographer the thing I learned/enjoyed the most was being able to go to Fort Langley and take photos in a different environment than the school.
